All My Relations Arts Secures Gallery Space
On March 23rd, NACDI launched a campaign to bring a premier contemporary American Indian fine arts gallery back to Franklin Avenue. We are pleased to announce that with the strong contributions of community members and foundation support we have secured a new gallery space and will be bringing All My Relations Arts back to the Ave!
In just over a month, over 70 community members made donations to the gallery campaign, showing their support for this important community resource. They raised over $8,600. With this strong support from the community, the McKnight Foundation and the Minneapolis Foundation made substantial contributions to the project. On May 4th, 2010, NACDI announced that enough money had been raised to secure a lease for the space for a new gallery on the American Indian Cultural Corridor.
The new gallery will be located at 1416 E Franklin Avenue in the former Open Arms of Minnesota building. NACDI has co-purchased this building with the American Indian Community Development Corporation and both organizations will be moving their offices into the building in addition to the gallery. read more about the building purchase
Now that we have secured space for the gallery, we are shifting our attention to the build-out of the gallery. Please consider a contribution to help build a new space for the community to share native arts. Donate Here!
